Delivery Driver

MCE Electric is seeking a dedicated and experienced Delivery Driver to join their logistics team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of the company, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to valued customers. The successful candidate will assist with loading and unloading goods, perform routine vehicle inspections, and ensure safe driving practices.

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit) license
• Minimum of 2 years of delivery driving experience
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
• Excellent verbal communication skills to interact professionally with customers
• Ability to handle unexpected issues calmly and efficiently
• Proficient in using GPS systems and other navigation tools
• Capable of lifting heavy packages and frequently driving long hours
• South African citizen or valid work authorization

• Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers while adhering to scheduled routes
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions during deliveries
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Accurately complete all required delivery paperwork and electronic documentation
• Follow all traffic and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as needed, ensuring products are handled with care
• Work closely with stock control and other warehouse staff to meet daily operational goals
• Identify potential hazards on the road and take proactive measures to mitigate risks
• Adapt to changing schedules, routes, delivery demands, and weather conditions
• Manage multiple deliveries and prioritise tasks effectively to maintain efficiency
