Description

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Supervisor Engineering Technician SF C4 to join their Engineering department at the Gold West Wits operating segment. The successful candidate will focus on safe production, operational and work process functionality, and will be responsible for planning daily, weekly, and monthly work requirements, allocating labour resources, overseeing instrumentation systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements
  • NQF 6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) majoring in Instrumentation & Process Control, with valid 26D trade certificate
  • Radio Protection Officer certification (where relevant)
  • 5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in a mineral processing plant, refinery, or mining environment
  • Advanced experience in PLC/DCS and computerised process control systems
  • SAP Maintenance and supervision modules knowledge
  • Advanced working knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell PLC, DCS, and Ifix & Archestra HMI systems
  • Engineering Supervisor Certificate (advantageous)
  • ECSA registration (advantageous)
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clear security screening record
Key Responsibilities
  • Focus on safe production, operational and work process functionality
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work requirements and priorities with the operational team
  • Allocate labour resources and equipment to scheduled and priority activities to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure availability for after-hours standby duties
  • Find the cause of breakdowns and correct them promptly
  • Manage and oversee critical spares stock levels are maintained
  • Oversee the continued upkeep of relevant C&I documentation (Loop drawings, IO schedules, etc.)
  • Manage PM compliance and prioritise maintenance of equipment and services
  • Coordinate projects and shutdown activities
  • Identify opportunities and oversee the implementation to improve instrumentation operations and systems
