Assistant Business Manager

OBARO is seeking an Assistant Business Manager for their Dwaalboom agricultural retail store, reporting directly to the Business Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of running an agricultural retail store, including managing and leading branch personnel, taking full accountability for overall operations and performance, overseeing administrative reports, managing forecourt daily operations, and driving business growth by expanding the existing customer base.

• Minimum of Grade 12 qualification
• A relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written communication)
• Knowledge of agricultural products (advantageous)
• Proven experience in managing a Retail Branch (advantageous)
• Experience in business expansion and growth (advantageous)
• At least 2 years of management experience
• At least 1 year of personnel management experience
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
• Valid driver's license and reliable own transport (minimum requirement)
• Willing to relocate and work extended hours including weekends

• Manage and lead branch personnel effectively to achieve operational goals
• Take full accountability for the overall operations and performance of the branch
• Oversee and sign off all administrative reports accurately and on time
• Manage the daily operations on the Forecourt to ensure efficiency
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and company assets to prevent losses
• Implement and monitor sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue
• Provide excellent customer service and professional client advice at all times
• Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and company policies
• Manage debtors efficiently to maintain healthy cash flow
• Prepare, manage, and monitor the branch budget to meet financial targets
