Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in their Commercial department for a Sales Coach & Merchandising Manager based in Nelspruit. This role focuses on leading regional execution, instilling core sales disciplines, driving in-field and classroom coaching, managing third-party merchandising service providers, and ensuring merchandising excellence across all trade channels. The successful candidate will enhance market performance, trade visibility, and customer service delivery.
Requirements
- 3-year Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business
- 5 years of experience in Sales Management or Coaching roles
- Proven experience in capability building, preferably in FMCG or highly execution-focused environment
- Valid Code 08 Driver's License
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant digital tools
- People management experience
- Strong organisational skills and financial acumen
- Stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Customer-centric with effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional execution and instill core sales disciplines to enhance market performance and trade visibility
- Drive in-field and classroom coaching to improve skill indices and trade effectiveness
- Monitor KPI tracker implementation, conduct audits, track action plans, and ensure timely reporting and compliance
- Design, deliver, and track customized and generic training solutions based on business needs and training needs analysis
- Utilize tools to measure skills, monitor training impact, and maintain skill-level trackers and regional training records
- Facilitate best practice communication across units and motivate teams through skill-building initiatives
- Lead execution of regional merchandising strategy in alignment with national priorities, trade standards, and execution models
- Manage third-party merchandising service providers, ensuring full compliance with SLAs and performance expectations
- Monitor and manage regional merchandising budgets, ensuring spend aligns with volume analysis, trade priorities, and ROI benchmarks
- Effectively roll out and monitor the execution of merchandising strategy across channels and touchpoints
