Maintenance Coordinator

Tiger Brands is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including planning and scheduling preventative maintenance tasks, managing work orders, coordinating with external contractors, ensuring equipment uptime, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The primary goal is to minimise production disruptions and maximise operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
• PLC experience
• 7 years in a supervisory role in FMCG
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems (PRAGMA)
• Knowledge of Oracle Systems for equipment and component ordering
• Understanding of risk, environmental, and food safety programs
• Experience with CAPEX budget planning
• South African citizen or valid work authorization
• Clear criminal record

• Maintain a preventative maintenance system for the Unit and update all schedules on PRAGMA
• Record all maintenance tasks, issue job cards, and order all engineering spares
• Perform all administrative tasks for maintenance functions
• Introduce effective systems and controls to ensure tasks are performed to maximum efficiency and productivity standards
• Maintain equipment and component ordering on the Oracle System
• Organise daily jobs and breakdowns, assisting with call-out issues
• Ensure 100% plant availability at all times
• Maintain risk, environmental, and food safety programs
• Conduct stores audits and monthly stores stock control
• Determine RCA of sub-optimal performance failure, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements
